Mental fitness through coordination skills
with
Gyula Paczolay
from Hungary
Casa de la Cultura English /German /Hungarian

Movement, the relationship between the human body and brain (bone and muscle structure, respiration and circulation, eating and secretion). Physical-psychic-emotional-mental balance. The main lobes and areas of the brain have rearranged. The areas responsible for movement and vision have reduced in size. Precision hand and precision intelligence. The mind is the information processing and thinking activity of the brain. The last decade of the millennium as the decade of the brain. Research of the brain, treatment of brain illnesses and the development of intelligent robots showed us how little we know about the brain. (Brain research is in its early stage.) Practical experiences of thousands of years. The mind is likely to be operated and thus animated by the same thing as the human body: operation. The mind is probably easier to be renewed thank the body, as a software is more easily modified than a hardware. Manual for old age: What is harmful for the brain? Monotone practice and overstrain. What is good for the brain? Joyful exercises, co-ordination exercises, interesting tasks and games. Let us make tools and toys for ourselves and our relatives.
WS 25 Dynamic Tennis
with Hans Heins and
Dick Klinge
from the Netherlands
Polideportivo San Fernando Englisch /Deutsch/ Holländisch
Hans is 52 years old and got his licence for all-round sport teacher in 1979. Besides this licence, he also got the licences for teaching tennis, table tennis and badminton. Because of a hernia in his back in 1984, Hans had to stop his career as an active sportsman. He became a football trainer for the youth and a swimming coach. He did it as a volunteer, because he still had a full time job. In 2004 he started playing dynamic tennis with very good results: in 2007 he won the Dutch competition for 50+.
Dick Klinge was born on August 8 in 1935. In his youth he started with all kinds of sports, in particular boxing. He had a lot of jobs, all connected with sports. One of the jobs was in Germany, in Kochum, as a teacher during holidays. At one moment he got a job as a gym teacher for all ages. He teached youngsters at school and later also elderly people. He not only a teaches dynamic tennis, a new discipline in tennis, but also badminton and normal tennis. At the age of 72, Dick still has a job as teacher for the community where he lives.
Dynamic Tennis
is a new light racket sport for all ages. In fact it is a combination of regular tennis and table tennis, played on a field with the measures of a badminton court. In the middle, the court is divided into halves by a net with an upper edge of 85 cm.
The game is played with a lightweight shorthanded racket that can be easily handled. The special yellow ball, made of a compressible foam material, weight less than 17 grams and has the same measures and playing properties as a standard tennis ball, but has a lower velocity.
A match consists of one game, or the best of three games. The game counting is until 21 points with a difference of 2 points. For many people, playing a double is favourite. Players should return the ball in turn and that makes dynamic tennis very dynamic.
A new sport, which is easy to learn and to practice. It is fun to play. Come and look and have a try!

Lots of people play it in their local parks or at camping sites. But there are also many pétanque clubs, where people play it on a high level. That makes it a very exciting sport. A team exists of one (tête-á-tête), two (doublette) or three (triplette) persons. The game is played with 12 heavy ‘boules', except in the tête-á-tête game. The players must throw or roll the boules to the little jack. The team with the boule(s) the closest to the jack wins.
